ELEVEN houses still have no power following Storm Barney which hit last night.
UK Power Networks has confirmed that 2,887 houses in Halstead and Sible Hedingham suffered a power cut.
A spokesman said: "Power was restored in stages during the night and we currently have 11 customers off supply.
"We would like to reassure them that we are working as quickly and safely as possible to return their power to them.
"We continue to monitor the weather closely and have robust plans in place, including additional staff on duty.
"Where the weather affects our network our priorities are always public safety, restoring electricity supplies as quickly as possible and keeping people informed."
Storm Barney is the second storm to hit the country after Abigail last week.
Winds were recorded at 60 mph at Andrewsfield near Braintree.
Police have report numerous trees down across the county on minor roads after the strong winds overnight – particularly around the Finchingfield, Stebbing and Maldon areas. .
