The search for a missing pensioner is continuing after no more sightings have been confirmed since he disappeared almost a month ago.

Gordon Wilson, 82, went missing 27 days ago on October 25 from his home in Leadon Roding.

Mr Wilson, who has vascular dementia and has a heart defect, was last seen in Halstead Road, Sible Hedingham, between 2pm and 4pm on the same day.

Police are still urgently seeking the two motorcyclists and a pedestrian who stopped to help the man after he fell in the road.

Appeals have been circulated to local motorcycle clubs and a search was held on November 5 in Halstead.

However, they have drawn a blank as to the whereabouts of the missing man.

An Essex Police spokesman confirmed that there was no update and no further sightings of him since the one in Sible Hedingham.

Searches are continuing in the surrounding areas.

Mr Wilson is a keen walker and used to walk in the Halstead area with his wife Sybil, who died in July 2013.

It is thought he could have traveled to Halstead to relive good times he had there with her.

He was seen getting off the No 352 bus and walking in the direction of Butler Road on the Sunday before being seen in Sible Hedingham later that day.

Mr Wilson is 5ft 11ins, of medium build with grey, thinning hair.

Officers are also still looking at the possibility that he may be trying to reach Glasgow, where he lived for more than 70 years and served as the headmaster at Shawlands Academy.

He wears glasses and was last seen wearing a sports jacket, which is either checked or navy. He usually wears a shirt, tie and jumper.

Anyone who sees him should call 101 urgently.
