Wetherspoons not looking at buying empty High Street restaurant
Pub chain Wetherspoon has dispelled rumours it is looking to buy a High Street building.
Turkish restaurant Lalezar, in Halstead, is up for sale, with a potential buyer already lined up.
Rumours circulated that this could be a potential spot for a Wetherspoon.
A spokesman said that whilst the chain was still interested in coming to the town, it has “not identified any sites to progress with”.
