‘We shouldn’t feel afraid of yobs near our homes’
Residents say they are planning to move out of Halstead because they never see police officers tackling antisocial behaviour on their streets.
A public meeting this week heard how stretched officers covering the Braintree district classified antisocial behaviour in the town as a “low priority”.
One family, who asked not to be named, are moving out of their Butler Road home because action is not being taken to stop youngsters fighting, swearing and drinking in the car park across the road.
