Hundreds of people admired flowers, arts and crafts at Halstead Baptist Church over the weekend.

Church members and volunteers from Halstead Flower Club created the flower arrangements for the fayre at the church, in Hedingham Road.

In the main hall, there were ten stalls selling hand made items such as cards, paintings, handbags and artwork, printed mugs and a variety of other items. The Women's Institute also had a stall marking their 100th birthday.

Reverend Sean Carter said: “We are very pleased by how it went.

“It was a busy market day on the Saturday and that might have helped, and we did publicise it a lot.

“There were cream teas served on the Sunday and people sat and admired the flowers before getting theirs.”

There were also pottery and children’s workshops taking place.
