Residents have slammed plans for 56 houses in a village.
At a consultation event at Earls Colne Village Hall last Thursday, villagers expressed concerns with the impact the additional houses would have on the infrastructure, character of the village and the traffic.
Estate Agents Savills displayed plans on how the housing estate would look on the land, between Homefield Way and Colne Valley Golf Club, based off Station Road, and experts were on hand to answer people’s questions.
Visitors were also asked to fill in questionnaires with their thoughts on the plans.
The current layout is for a maximum of 56 houses.
