The popular comedy night is making a welcome come-back to the Empire Theatre in Halstead.

Performing will be Jarred Christmas, Otiz Cannelloni, Ellie Taylor and Dave Ward.

Jarred Christmas has a unique style that deftly mixes gags with storytelling.

He has a dynamic onstage persona and the ability to improvise and roll with anything that's thrown his way, making his comedy sizzle with originality.

His energetic storytelling has earned him a whole host of accolades including a Chortle Award and has catapulted him to the forefront of our TV screens in shows such as Mock The Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 out of 10 Cats, Argumental, One Night Stand and Let's Dance for Comic Relief.

Joining him will be Otiz Cannelloni who combines magic and stand-up in his performance, which fluctuated between sheer genius and downright stupidity.

Ellie Taylor has been doing stand up comedy since 2010 and has been called “sharp, sassy and extremely funny” by critics.

Compere for the evening is the very much in demand David Ward, a friendly, upbeat comic with a cynicism that gives his comedy a unique gentle bite.

He has appeared at Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Lee Hurst's Backyard, Screaming Blue Murder, Kings Head, Headliners, Ha Bloody Ha, Red Rose, Amused Moose, Moonlighting, Just The Tonic, Buzz Club, The Stand, Amused Moose, Barcode, Soho, The Frog and Bucket and the Comedy Cafe.

He has also supported Harry Hill, Frank Skinner and Normal Lovett

as well as compering heats for So You Think You're Funny and the BBC New Comedy Awards.

The show is on Friday with doors at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.

Tickets are £12, from 07778 025490 or empire-theatre.co.uk Over 18s only.
