More than £1,000 has been raised through a charity raffle for the family of a tot with cancer.

Three-year-old Lilly-Mae Brewster was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in January.

The community has rallied to raise money for the family, including funding a wheelchair for the Great Yeldham youngster.

Halstead mum Celine Ryan also organised a raffle after hearing of the family’s story.

The raffle, held in February, raised £1,000.

Celine said: “I didn't have any expectations as to how much we could raise so was really happy.

“Thanks to all the individuals who donated prizes and supported us by buying tickets.”
