Two kind friends are holding a Thai curry and quiz night for Bures youngster Daisy Brooks.

Gemma Everitt and Myalee Chaytor organised the evening on Saturday in aid of Daisy, seven, who lost her battle with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) in November.

The condition is extremely rare and most children do not survive three years.

Brave Daisy underwent pioneering surgery to help find a cure for the condition, which has supported further research in this field.

Her family and friends continue to raise money to be used to help to find a cure and so far they have raised £110,000.

The quiz will take place at Thomas Gainsborough School, Great Cornard, with teams of up to 6 people.

Tickets are £15 per person, which includes the quiz, a full Thai dinner, softdrinks, dessert and corkage donation if you wish to bring your own alcohol.

Participants are asked to arrive at 7.30pm, with the quiz starting at 7.45pm.

The evening will be finished by 11pm, with a break at 8.15pm for the delicious home-made Thai meal.

People are also being asked to help by either setting up or clearing away, by donating raffle prizes and bringing cakes.
