A popular bakery has raised £550 for a local charity.
Hume’s of Halstead raised the money for Halstead Day Centre by charging people 2p for a bag, selling its unsold bread for animals and from customers’ extra donations.
They handed the cheque over last Wednesday.
The bakery, in High Street, Halstead, has been raising money for different charities every year for the past 15 years.
Ann Hume said: “We especially thank our customers wholeheartedly for their continued support of our charity work.”
