A mum has been left inspired after her brave little girl, who is battling cancer, is now well enough to come home.
Lilly-Mae Brewster, of Great Yeldham, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia last month after suffering with severe fatigue and muscle pains for six weeks.
Since then, the three-year-old has undergone chemotherapy treatment at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, which has caused her hair to fall out.
She returned home this week and has already visited Acorns Pre-School in Great Yeldham to say hello to her teachers.
Her mum Carrie, 27, who is having time off her work as a carer to look after Lilly, said the diagnosis and treatment hasn’t changed her daughter at all.
She said: “She has taken it all in her stride.
“If I do get upset, she says ‘Mummy, why are you crying?’ “She is dealing with it so well. I am really proud of her for being so courageous."
