Young Colne Engaine singer winner of national singing competition
A young man has beaten off 9,000 others to be crowned the winner of a singing competition.
James Burrage, 18, of Brook Street, Colne Engaine, heard in November that he was through to the finals of the Open Mic UK tournament, which pitches budding musicians from across the UK against each other.
He performed an original song, entitled Rumours, to the capacity audience at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham on Saturday night.
