A village has secured funds for a defibrillator.
It is hoped the £1,800 unit will be fitted to the wall of the White Colne’s village hall, in Bures Road, next week.
Residents first approached the council in April to request a unit, but issues with securing funding delayed the purchase.
Chairman of the White Colne Parish Council Jane Taylor said: “We don’t have a particular issue in the village with needing one, but there was quite a lot of media coverage about how they save lives."
