Housing association staff and residents have raised a record amount for charity.
Greenfields Community Housing, which looks after former council housing stock in the Braintree district, raised more than £10,700 for Farleigh Hospice last year, beatings its previous annual fundraising totals.
Residents and staff visited the Chelmsford hospice, which provides care for patients in the Braintree area, this week to present a cheque and a custom-made cake.
Greenfields' chairman Chris Doré said: “We support a local charity each year, as voted for by our members.
"It’s fantastic to know that, through Farleigh Hospice, we’re helping people through very difficult experiences.
"Thank you to everyone who contributed towards the fantastic amount raised.”
This year, Greenfields is supporting Crossroads Care Braintree District and Chelmsford, which provides a respite service for carers.
