Young people have spoken of their frustration after the newly refurbished skate park was vandalised.

Halstead Youth Council has been campaigning for the last four years to get Halstead skate park, off Ramsey Road, repaired, and the work was finally carried out in September.

However, the park had been vandalised, with some of the railings at the back of one of the ramps removed over the weekend of October 18 and 19.

Youth Council chairman Emily Caton said: “It is very frustrating that this has happened, especially as the skate park has only just been repaired.”
