A nursery school held a celebration morning after receiving an outstanding Ofsted report.

St Peter’s Nursery in School Road, Sible Hedingham, is based within the grounds of St Peter’s Primary School but is a separate insitution.

The report said children received a consistently high quality of teaching and were given “exciting, stimulating and imaginative” lessons both indoors and outside.

Inspectors said the partnership between the nursery and parents was another “key factor” in its success.

Nursery co-owner Elizabeth Brown said: “We are really proud of all our outside spaces so we were really pleased with the inspectors comments.

“Because of the way the staff work with parents as well that’s why the children make such exceptional progress.”

The report also praised staff for their teamwork, leadership and management, and for having a “sound understanding” of child protection and safeguarding matters.
