Exciting bid for Halstead cultural hub
Halstead’s new community centre could be completed within two years - after a 15 year wait.
It has been three years since work started in earnest on the project to replace the Senior Citizens Centre in New Street, which closed in January last year.
It is due to be built in Butler Road, down the street from the Empire Theatre, where volunteers hope to revive a cinema.
The two buildings could create a cultural hub for Halstead.
