A pub landlord will make his debut as a TV chef this summer when he appears in new BBC food series The Taste of Britain.
James Donoghue runs The Pheasant in Gestingthorpe with wife Diana and was chosen to cook for presenter Brian Turner and celebrity guest Janet Street Porter.
Mr Donoghue said: βIt was a great experience. The show is about celebrating local produce and people who use local foods which is what I do.β
Mr Donogue cooked skate from Mersea, asparagus from Wash Farm, Sible Hedingham, and new potatos from Fairfields Farm in Fordham.
