Strikes have caused disruption to refuse collections across the Braintree district.

Braintree Council has issued the following notice through its website: 

Please note that on Thursday 10th July council services were affected by a national strike by public sector workers.
Due to the majority of refuse and recycling staff taking action we were only able to run a nominal service.
Refuse Collections (Grey Bins / Black sacks)

The following areas did not receive a collection yesterday.  The council says these will be collected on residents' next scheduled collection date.

There were no Trade Waste collections yesterday.

According to the council website, these will be undertaken today and tomorrow and should be completed by 3pm tomorrow.
