A woman was given a caution after lashing out at both a paramedic and a police officer.
The ambulance service was called to Saunders Avenue, Braintree, shortly before 6pm on Saturday after a report of a woman lying on the floor and not responding.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “Whilst the crew were assessing and treating the patient, the woman kicked out and struck the paramedic in the thigh.
“A police officer was also assaulted by the intoxicated woman.”
The 57-year-old Braintree woman was subsequently arrested and taken into custody, where she was cautioned.
The male police officer was kicked by the woman but was uninjured.
