Residents were woken by the sound of gunshots as a yob with an air rifle targeted property in a village street.
Cars and a home in Ellis Road, Bradfield, were hit.
The window of one home suffered a large crack after being hit by a pellet from the airgun and car windows in the road were also smashed.

Frank Graves, 87, of Ellis Road, said he was aware of a boy using a gun along the street.
He said: "I've heard a gun or something like a rifle being used, and if someone is using this type of thing I think it should be investigated."
He added: "Air rifles can be very dangerous things and, believe me, you've got to treat any gun with respect."
PC Chris Phillips, of the community policing team at Mistley, is investigating the incidents, which happened at about 10pm on Sunday.
He said: "This type of incident is very, very rare. Now and again, maybe once or twice a year, we hear from people who think they may have some damage caused by an air rifle."
Anyone with information is asked to call PC Mark Welch on 01255 221312.
