Uni agreement signed over £250k cycle path

ESSEX University has signed a deal pledging £250,000 for a cycle path between Wivenhoe and the campus.
The legal agreement with Colchester Council and Essex County Council is part of the planning permission for a new multi-storey car park at the university.
Councillors agreed in May the car park could go ahead in principle, provided the uni’s travel plan is reviewed and the cash agreement reached.
The money is not ring-fenced for the path scheme.

250k for a cycle path. Someone is taking the P. nice to see my tax money is being wasted on such schemes.
