Wivenhoe wildlife subject of two events

A WILDLIFE group is holding two events next month.

Wivenhoe Watching Wildlife hosts a vigil on the town’s Shipyard Jetty on Sunday September 9, and people can just turn up at any time.

The event, which runs between 6am to 8pm, includes identification tips, wildlife walks and exhibits, plus the chance to see some of the wildlife around the River Colne.

Later in the month the group is holding an Autumn Watch evening recapping some of the highlights of the summer, including birds and moths.

The event on Friday September 21 also includes a fun quiz.

Autumn Watch begins at 7.30pm at the Nottage Maritime Institute on The Quay, Wivenhoe. Admission is free with discretionary donations to Headway Essex, and light refreshments will be served.
