Meeting to be held on Horkesley Park plans

AN OPPOSITION group is holding an open meeting to discuss plans to build a tourist attraction in Great Horkesley.

The Stour Valley Action Group, which is opposing Bunting and Sons’ plans to build the Stour Valley Visitor Centre at Horkesley Park, is holding the meeting on Wednesday, at Little Horkesley Village Hall from 7pm.

The company wants to build a heritage centre, an indoor display arena, a cafe and a visitor shop.

The centre is expected to attract 316,250 tourists a year and create 150 jobs.
