IN TODAY'S GAZETTE: PLANS have been unveiled to turn the notorious A120 between Colchester and Braintree into a dual carriageway.

Gateway 120, a group of landowners who want to build 11,000 homes in a village near Marks Tey and on the Braintree border, has offered to spend £128 million to upgrade the road if their scheme goes ahead.

* A teenager who has undergone repeated operations has been invited to the British Grand Prix as Formula 1's Bernie Ecclestone's guest.

* A daughter who was subjected to a decade-long campaign of sexual abuse by her father has hit out at appeal judges for slashing his life sentence.

Christopher Frost, 46, of Cedar Avenue, Tiptree, was jailed for life for four counts of rape and other sexual offences against his daugther Emma, who is now 22. But judges at the Court of Appeal quashed the sentence ruling it was out of proportion with the crimes.

* Residents have raised concerns over Colchester's new bus station fearing it will be too small.
