Motorcyclists are a danger and should be banned. They are all maniacs on the road and Im surprised there arent more accidents.

Shame a lot of the time the sensible riders are the ones who get hurt The Police need to do something because the pain and suffering left behind is heart breaking take it from me it's not worth it.

Yes there are those who flout the law and they do so at their own risk but there are just as many idiotic car drivers who have no spatial awareness of any other road users who use mobiles, fiddle with stereos, eat food, break the speed limit and smoke fags whilst driving. I am sure you have done at least one of those in your life but you had the protection of your tin box.

Get real......
As for the incident, who said it was the bikers fault?

Bikers need to get over this us and them attitude the road has rules!

as to "rules" of road and "us and them" mentality, i ride a motorcycle in all weather, and have been a driver, and am a cylist and pedestrian, and i can pretty much say that there is one form of road user who doesnt stop at pedestrian crossings, cuts in front of cyclists to turn left, ignores right of way at roundabout, and refuses to let there fellow drivers into filter lanes.
And add to fact HGV and Motorcylists are the highest tested road users, i think its pretty obvious which user has the most to learn about the road and others.

The lack of road awareness of some car drivers is disgraceful.
Bikers are usually ok and I personally have no problem giving them space to overtake when it's safe for me to do so.
Yes,that little wave you give on the way past is appreciated too.
After many years of driving, when you think you have seen it all, a new one comes along !!
Jolyfishfrier & t1mmyt1me, you both make a lot of sense...
Hope this biker is ok.

God forbid in our cotton wool world, but accidents do happen - it's doesn't mean the parties involved were speeding thoughtless maniacs. Perhaps incidents like this mean we should all try to be a little more thoughtful & considerate rather than assuming we're going into battle when on the road....

50% of riders I see about ride according to the road the other 50% are Sunday biker hot heads who belt around all over the place. These roads are no longer sustainable for punting or joying about and chopping corners and lanes:The cars on the roads are too powerful for the vicinity they travel in and the performance of some of these new heavy weight European machines is far too hair trigger in many scenarios.
All of you must slow down and obey the speed limits 30MPH means 30 NOT 31 or 35:::In my view all lorry and coaches should be confined to a maximum speed limit of 55MPH and be enforced to stay in the inside lane of any dual carriageway or motorway. Who gives a toss what time the sticky buns arrive at Morri-Esco.
There is no need for all these White Vans, Twinkly Light German Coupe Cars and Born Again Biker Barry Sheenes, Frustrated Peroxide Blonde Yummy Mums In their little used People Carriers, to be belt arsing around all over the shop in an accident waiting to happen on a daily basis.
In view of this article one wishes the Biker god speed and get well soon more than likely was not his fault in the first place::: :-(
