Mary Celeste found in Mersea waters

A SAILOR fired a red flare from the Mary Celeste yacht after disappearing from sight.

The sailing vessel fired the flare from West Mersea alerting the coastguard rescue team and West Mersea RNLI who were sent to assist.

However the sailor just needed to draw attention to their location to get help back to sure and, unlike the boat’s namesake, was found just after 10am yesterday.
