Fair Access meeting snowed off

A DISABLED rights group had to cancel its meeting due to the snow.

Fair Access to Colchester was due to discuss blue badge spaces and other issues of concern for wheelchair users on Tuesday. But the meeting, due to be held at the Moot Hall, had to be called off due to icy conditions.

Jade Hamnett, chairman, said: “While a lot of the main roads have cleared up, the side roads and pavements haven't.

“I would rather be safe.”

The meeting will be rearranged for Tuesday, February 14, with the location yet to be confirmed.
