COLCHESTER MP Bob Russell marked International Noise Awareness Day by calling for a little quiet.
The Lib Dem MP tabled an Early Day Motion in the House of Commons congratulating Noisedirect, an independent noise advice line which helps people solve everyday problems.
Mr Russell said: “Noise annoys. More than that, it can destroy people’s health and indeed their whole quality of life.
“Individually and collectively we have to reduce noise levels, so that the quality of life is enhanced rather than ruined.”
