Owner of Scooby Snax in Brightlingsea launches awards

THE OWNER of the Brightlingsea fish and chip shop named the best in the South East has launched the ‘Oscars’ for the chippy industry.

Scooby Snax on Church Road, owned by former-RAF chef John McNeill, was awarded the title of best in London and South East last year by Seafish, the authority on seafood.

Mr McNeill was in London on Friday to launch the annual fish and chips Oscars, run by Seafish, and encouraged chippys to enter the competition.
