A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a three-car crash destroyed a wall.
Police were called to the junction of London Road and Villa Road in Stanway at 6.20am on Friday.
When officers arrived they discovered three cars had been involved in the smash and a wall had been destroyed.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
He has been taken to hospital.
The East of England Ambulance Service were initially called to the scene but were stood down by police before they arrived.
Part of the pavement has been cordoned off by police but traffic is now flowing freely around the area.
Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "If you saw anything, were driving in the area and have dash cam footage, or have any other information please call us on 101 quoting incident 151 of April 20 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
