A NEW boutique cinema is set to open its doors in Colchester in July.
Curzon, in Queen Street, will form part of a £30 million overhaul of the eastern side the town centre.
The plans also include an 87-bed Travelodge on the site of the former Keddies building, which was demolished last year.
Rob Kenny, director of cinema development at Curzon, said: “We are very much on schedule and are aiming to open early July.”
The entire scheme, which will also feature a number of new bars and restaurants as well as student accommodation, is scheduled for completion in 2020.
