BUSINESS suits and overalls are more common attire for Colchester Business Park.

But red suits and beards were the order of the day as fundraisers took part in a Santa Run for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

Charity supporters were invited to run, walk or jog the 2km route around the business park.

Participants enjoyed a warm up and were seen smiling the whole way around the course.

Victoria Matthews, EACH corporate fundraiser, said it was a huge success with the sea of red and white a sight to behold.

Donations are still being counted but Victoria said: “It’s been fantastic to see red jackets, white beards and most importantly smiles on faces at our Santa Run in Colchester.

“A big thank you to everyone who took part.

“We’re still counting the hundreds of pounds raised, but all of it will go towards the vital care and support EACH provides.

“The charity supports children and young people with life-threatening conditions and their families.”

It costs the charity almost £6 million a year to look after the children.

The charity will also be holding a carol service at St Michael’s Church in Colchester on Thursday.
