U’S fans purchasing last-minute tickets are asked to shell out more than at any other club in the league.
The BBC’s annual Price of Football survey has revealed the highest priced one-off ticket at Colchester United’s Weston Homes Community Stadium is £29 - more expensive than any other in League Two.
But the same ticket in blocks four or six of the West Stand can be picked up for as little as £21.50 if fans purchase them up to six weeks before the game.
Fans can also snap up tickets elsewhere in the ground for as little as £14.50 if they book in advance.
Ticket prices increase on a sliding scale as each match gets closer.
As a result of the difference in ticket prices, the U’s offer both the most expensive and cheapest day out in the division when the price of a £3 programme, £3.25 pie and a £1 cup of tea are added in.
Season tickets also range from between £293 and £430.
Last season the U’s outstanding home form meant season ticket holders paid just £6.81 per goal for their side - the fifth best in League Two.
