POLICE are looking for a driver who failed to stop following a crash where a pedestrian suffered serious injuries.
A 42-year-old woman was walking along a footpath in Victor Road, Colchester, at about 1.35am on Thursday June 15.
She was hit by a black car as she crossed the road.
Investigating officer, Pc David Scott, said: “She hit the bonnet and fell back onto the road.
“She was taken to hospital with a fractured neck and spine and a foot injury.
“I am appealing for witnesses who saw a dark coloured saloon car in the Barrack Street or Victor Road area at about 1.30am.
“I’d also like to speak to any residents or businesses in the area who have CCTV.”
Contact Pc Scott at Stanway Roads Policing Unit on 101.
