A COMMUNITY cafe has been given a revamp thanks to a generous donation from a supermarket giant.
Tesco Hythe gave £1,500 to improve the venue at the Greenstead Community Centre which has been spent on new tables and chairs to give the cafe a massive boost.
The new furniture was bought at a discount rate from Atlantis Office and the centre has welcomed Nick Palas as their new manager who organised an official reopening.
Community champion at Tesco Hythe Jo Clarke said: "There have been many services come together to help and support the centre as it provides such an essential service to its community."
Groups which have meetings and support sessions at the centre include Colchester Community Voluntary Services. Slimming World and Knit and Natter.
