TWO men from Colchester have been charged with drugs offences.
Police stopped a vehicle in Mersea Road, Colchester at around 8.30pm on Thursday, July 21.
During a search of the driver and the vehicle a quantity of drugs and cash was found.
A 23 year-old man from Colchester was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
Officers then searched an address in the town and found a large amount of cannabis, cannabis resin and cocaine, as well as a five-figure sum of cash.
A 21 year-old man from Colchester was then arrested on suspicion of drug offences.
Kristan Bergin, 23, of King George Road, Colchester has now been charged with two counts of possession of a Class B drug.
Kyle Bergin, 21, of King George Road, Colchester has been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug, and possession of criminal property.
Both men are due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on January 10, 2017.
