AN appeal has been launched after a car smashed into a property before the driver fled the scene.
A silver Renault Clio crashed into the wall of a business park property in Clacton on Monday night, causing serious structural damage.
It hit the building in Wild Close between 10pm and 11pm.
The car was then pushed away from the building before being driven away. It had damage to the bonnet, but still had working headlights after the collision.
Police have launched an investigation and are searching for two other cars spotted in the area at the time – a silver Ford Fiesta and a small black vehicle.
Anyone with information should contact PC Alan Marks at Stanway Road Policing Unit on 101.
