PART of Colchester town centre has flooded due to a burst water main.
Water coming out of the delivery area near Vineyard Street car park.
It is now spilling onto Osborne Street.
The water is causing problems for pedestrians and drivers, but the road is still open.
Anglian Water staff are on their way to the scene to try and fix the problem.
UPDATE:
The main is part of the Lion Walk shopping centre’s private supply which was being clamped by workmen when it burst.
Anglian Water sent engineers to turn off the mains and a spokesman said: “They were working on the supply and had a clamp on which did not hold and the water went everywhere.”
