HANDMADE dresses, high teas and vintage homeware were all featured at Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair.

Shoppers were serenaded by the Harmonettes as they took the opportunity to browse through clothing, homeware and jewellery from the Forties through to the Nineties.

Nearly 1,000 guests shopped, had tea and cakes made by Very Vintage Teas, and had their looks transformed at the Vintage Hair Lounge salon on Sunday.

Jessica Gregory, fair manager, said: “It was a really good day and lots of people came along to see what was on offer.

“We came all the way from Sheffield and have never been to Colchester before, so it was a new venue.

“It was really nice and there were lots of shopping bags being carried on the way out.”

The Lou Lou’s team is expecting to come back to Colchester before Christmas when they will once again fill Colchester Town Hall with vintage delights.

Ms Gregory added: “We had lots of fun and the weather was nice, which was a bonus.

“We really hope to come back again and use even more of the space.

“It was a lovely day for all concerned.”
