THE public will be able to quiz health bosses at a special meeting.

The annual members’ meeting of the NHS Trust which runs Colchester General and Essex County hospitals is being held on Friday, September 11.

This year, the formal business meeting of the trust will be followed by a Question Time-style panel discussion.

Members of the public and representatives of interested organisations will be able to comment on the health services provided by Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust and listen to what senior staff, clinicians, governors and directors have to say about the past year.

The question time panel, chaired by trust chairman Alan Rose, will answer NHS-related questions from the audience.

The panel will include the trust’s chief executive Dr Lucy Moore, Harwich and North Essex MP Bernard Jenkin and representatives from Healthwatch, Essex County Council and the North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group.

Mr Rose, said: “The meeting will be a good opportunity for members of the board of directors and council of governors to listen to the experiences and views of the local population and to give feedback on plans for the future.”

The meeting will take place in Training Rooms South, at Colchester General Hospital, starting at 2.45pm.

It will be finished by 5.45pm.
