THIEVES smashed their way into a home in Clacton before stealing a range jewellery.
Police are calling for information about the burglary in Burrs Road in the town on Thursday July 23 between 9.45am and 12.45pm.
Raiders smashed a rear conservatory door to get into the home before prising open a kitchen window.
Once inside they ransacked the property, taking jewellery including a 9 carat gold lattice lapel fob, a 9 ct gold tie pin with a turquoise head and a 9 ct gold chain with a pocket watch key attached.
Anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area or who is offered any of these items for sale is asked to call DC Emma Beynon at Clacton CID on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
