TRAINS services through Colchester will be disrupted until this afternoon because of overhead wire problems.
Scroll down for updates
A fault with the wiring equipment is affecting some lines, meaning trains to Colchester from London will have to use alternative routes through the town.
The carriage depot is also affected and some trains are unable to leave the depot.
Network Rail engineers are investigating the problem and are trying to resolve the issues as quickly as possible.
Mainline trains from Liverpool Street to Norwich and other 12-coach length trains will not be able to call at Colchester, as they will go through platform one which is too short for longer trains.
Customers should travel on alternative train services, or circulate via Manningtree onto London bound trains.
Disruption is expected to last until 2pm this afternoon.
Greater Anglia has apologised for the problems.
