ROYAL replica Tommy Cox has been causing a stir for his mumon her weekly supermarket shopping trips – thanks to his incredible likeness to Prince George.

Tommy, from Colchester, has the same round cherubic face as his royal counterpart and mum – ironically named Kate – is regularly stopped when she is out shopping by people asking for photographs.

Kate, 35, first noticed similarities between Tommy and George when the prince was christened in October 2013.

She said: “Some of my friends who have little children had mentioned to me how Tommy looked like George and were saying how cute it was.

“Then people started stopping me at the supermarket.

I realised it was more than just me being a biased mum.

“The same thing happened to my mother-in-lawwhen she took him out to the shops.

“I love the Royal Family, so each time the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge release pictures, I am always keen to see them.

“They both have the same brown eyes and lovely, rosy, chubby cheeks and when Tommy’s hair is in a side parting, it is uncanny how the two boys look so similar.”

Mischievous Tommy turned two last month, so is slightly older than his regal look-a-like, who celebrates his second birthday in July.

Friends of sales and marketing manager Kate, who is married to hairdresser Paul, 41, have even suggested she should look into getting work for Tommy as a royal replica.

She added: “I might look into getting Tommy work as a royal look-a-like for Prince George, but to be honest, he does not follow orders too well.

“I do call him my little prince sometimes, but his behaviour is not that of a royal.

“At nursery they describe him as ‘busy’ and he is always rushing around and exploring – he is very excitable.”
