FIRSTSITE’S new director Anthony Roberts has already made his first addition to the art gallery.
As well as being a pretty interesting installation, it will also raise money for the arts organisation.
The white van was bought by Firstsite when it moved out of the Minories, on East Hill.
Mr Roberts said: “It’s been parked at the back of the building for a while now.
“I thought seeing as we are trying to sell it, why not bring it as close to the shop as I could get it.
“It’s a rather interesting piece of engineering because it looks like a Citroen at the front but a Vauxhall at the back.
“Hopefully we’ll get a decent price for it because all the money we get will go towards our Free Family Saturday programme.”
Anyone interested in making Mr Roberts an offer for the van, which has a valid MoT certificate, can call Anthony Roberts the gallery on 01206 577067.
