A GRANDFATHER who was brought back to life on the street with a community defibrillator has inspired a fundraising campaign to get the life-saving equipment installed at his local pub.
Steve Fursse, 65, was delivering a kitchen unit in Canterbury, when he collapsed in the street.
Two police officers who were patrolling nearby saw him collapse and ran to his aid.
They gave him CPR and used a defibrillator which was stored at a nearby church.
After hearing the story Chris Potts, who runs the Foundry Arms, in Artillery Street, New Town, Colchester, with his wife, Eve, decided to start a fundraising campaign to install their own defibrillator.
