A HAIR salon owner is considering employing a bouncer in a bid to stop drunks congregating at the front of her premises.
Rosemarie Smith opened D-Mop, in Osborne Street, Colchester, a month ago, but says she has been plagued by drunks, who drink, urinate and vomit outside her salon.
She blames nearby shops for continuing to sell high-strength beer to people who are clearly drunk.
Now, she said she has even thought about getting a bouncer out the front of the salon to deter them.
Mrs Smith, who styles hair for some models and is hoping to attract a high-end clientele to the salon, said: “It’s got so bad, I’ve even thought about putting a doorman out there to get them to move on.
“It would have to be someone who can speak to them in language they understand.
“We’re a hairdressers for goodness sake, we’re not a night club.
“You don’t expect to be thinking that way.”
