RESIDENTS who want to learn vital first aid techniques are being encouraged to attend classes at a Colchester Tesco.
St John Ambulance staff will be on hand to give out advice between 10am and 4pm on Saturday at Hythe Tesco, off Greenstead Road.
They will be teaching passers by five techniques which could save a life.
The event is part of the organisation’s Save a Life September.
Paul Knighton, St John Ambulance's Regional Training and Community Projects Manager in the East of England, said: “By holding free first aid demonstrations across the country, we want to reach as many people as possible, so that more people are equipped with the skills to save a life.
"Anyone who needs first aid should get it – and the more of us that can help in an emergency, the better.
“No one should die for a lack of first aid.”
