Protesters against a development of 350 new houses and a new school building will march through the streets this weekend.
The Coggeshall Community Action Group are staging a protest walk on Sunday 14 in opposition to a planned housing development by Honywood School and Marks Hall Estate.
The proposed £30million school could span the A120 joined by an access bridge and plans could see the current school site developed into houses.
Headteacher at Honywood School Simon Mason said: “Can I make it clear to our whole community that our school has no desire to create disharmony.
“However, we will not accept the sub-standard learning environment in which our youngsters are forced to learn every day and will do all we can to explore every available avenue to find a solution to this intractable problem."
The group will meet at the Coggeshall clock tower in Stoneham Street at 11.30am on Sunday to walk through Coggeshall and on to Marks Hall.
