A FORMER non-league football manager is marking the end of his career by auctioning off shirts signed by some of the game’s most famous players.
Chris Symes, 68, collected signed shirts from teams including Manchester United and Liverpool during his 40 years in management.
The collection of about 100 shirts developed as a result of professional teams staying at Stoke by Nayland Hotel before matches against Ipswich Town.
